yes it did thank you. i need to create the industry field first as it is not currently there.

I feel that there will be many more customisations before i am able to use it properly.

    Hi partner,

First you need to add a field called "Industry" on the contact form, which will be used as a condition for creating segments, if you have already added it, please ignore.

Second please create a dynamic segment based on the following criteria.

In the end you will get a collection of contacts filtered by industry.

    Hello Trudie,

Yes, it is possible to create segments in Dynamics 365 Marketing based on contact industry. Segmentation is a feature in Dynamics 365 Marketing that allows you to create subsets of your contacts based on certain criteria.

Here are the steps to create a segment based on contact industry:

    1. Go to Dynamics 365 Marketing and navigate to the "Segments" page.

    2. Click on the "New" button to create a new segment.

    3. Give the segment a name and select the "Contacts" entity.

    4. In the "Criteria" section, select "Industry" from the drop-down list and specify the industry values you want to include in the segment.

    5. You can add other criteria as well if you want to further refine the segment.

    6. Once you have defined the criteria, click on the "Save" button to create the segment.

You can also create a dynamic segment, which will automatically update based on the criteria you set. You can also use the segment to target specific groups of contacts with specific campaigns or email messages.
