Hi,

Is there a way to restart the Async within CRM online rather than going through bulk deletes please ?

We have jobs that are stuck in the queue. Is there any way we can force them to go through by any chance ?

Kind Regards

Sanjiv Kumar

    Hey!

It's not possible to restart the services in Online.  If your jobs are stuck, you should first check:

    - How many jobs are currently "Running"

    - If your jobs are currently "Waiting" or "waiting for resources" and verify if there's any issue with them (flow errors or not meeting conditions) and how many are on "waiting" status

    - How many jobs are currently succeeded/failed/cancelled?

    regards

    Hi,

Thank you for coming back to me.

    - How many jobs are currently "Running"

There are over a million plus jobs running.

    - If your jobs are currently "Waiting" or "waiting for resources" and verify if there's any issue with them (flow errors or not meeting conditions) and how many are on "waiting" status

    Same as above

    - How many jobs are currently succeeded/failed/cancelled?

    Same as above

We have increased our database capacity and have enough storage. My concern is why the jobs that are waiting for resources/in progress are going through now ? Is it because the workflow is in a inactive state ?

    Kind Regards

    Hello Sanjiv.

Probably, if you have +5K records on Succeeded/failed/cancelled and specially, +5K records "waiting", then probably something is wrong: maybe a workflow or plugin is being triggered several thousand times.

In powerPlatform Admin center, you have a report under Analytics > Dataverse, on tab "System Jobs" that might be helpfull to understand what's going on.  If the backlog is too high or you have a high number of executions for example, might be related to that plugin/workflow that is causing more records to be pending

In this scenario, you can reach Microsoft Support to assist you on understanding what's causing this behavior and check for possible options.

    Regards

I also don't think there is a way to restart async job.

All jobs should be canceled by turning on management mode.
