Packaging a Custom/Partner BPM Library with a Product in Dynamics 365 for Operations

Hi,

I am trying to publish a custom library and make it available as part of our product developed on in Dynamics 365 for Operations.
Here is my current scenario - In LCS, Business Process Model, I have created a library in "My Library", added task guides to it, and later published it to the "Corporate library".
The status of the library that I added in the Corporate library appears as Pending.
How do we change the status to "Approved"?

Also, can we package the help files along with the solution so that when customers deploy our package the custom library is available along with the solution.
Any pointers or information on this would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Anita

    Hi Anita,

When you deploy a package to an environment, the status will be changed.

How did you develop your help files? Is it part of the Visual Studio solution?

    Hi Andre,

I created the task guides using the task recorder and saved them to the LCS library. It's not part of the Visual Studio solution.

The developers created the solution package separately in Visual studio and added to the Asset Library in LCS but I am not able to link my library to the solution package.

Could you please suggest how I can link my library to the solution package?

    Regards,

    Anita

    Hi Anita,

Until now I have only looked at custom task guides for a customer; not part of a solution. Then the customer can maintain his own list of task guides on LCS. I haven't looked at a partner library yet.

    Thanks Andre for your response.

After some research, I figured out that we can add BPM library and software package while creating a solution package using the Solution Management tool in LCS.
