Unable to install Field Service - OnPrem version 7.6.0.53

I am no longer able to install the Field Service – OnPrem solution from Microsoft.

I was able to install it once before by assigning myself the “Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Plan” license in the Office 365 Admin center.  That license is now deprecated by Microsoft.

I tried installing again this morning after giving myself the “Dynamics 365 Customer Service Enterprise” license but the install failed because it isn’t the proper license.

I am trying to install FieldService-OnPrem version 7.6.0.53

CRM version is 9.0.28.1

I have the admin role in the organization where I was installing it.

Does anyone know what license is needed to preform this installation?

Has anyone been able to accomplish this?

RE: Unable to install Field Service - OnPrem version 7.6.0.53

The link provided shows the Field Service package is still available for download and installation. I have pasted the Q/A from this link which states this.

When will the download package for the on-premises version become unavailable?

The download package to install Dynamics 365 Field Service (on-premises) will no longer be available after Dec 31, 2021.

What will happen to my Field Service (on-premises) implementation after June 30, 2022?

If you've already installed the on-premises version, it will still be available for your organization. However, new installations of Field Service (on-premises) will no longer be available from Microsoft. Also, the Field Service Mobile application that works with Field Service (on-premises) will be retired and no longer available after June 30, 2022.

It would be nice if someone from Microsoft would provide the appropriate installation instructions and the licensing needed to do this.

Unfortunately most of us on the forum deal primarily with the Online version.  There are many reasons for this, mostly because the majority of customers are in the cloud.  Secondly, Field Service On-Prem user rights expires in 2022. (+) Dynamics 365 Field Service (on-premises) use rights to retire on June 30, 2022 - Dynamics 365 Field Service Community

RE: Unable to install Field Service - OnPrem version 7.6.0.53

As the installation errors we are getting refer to licensing issues, we are working with our MS partner who is in turn communication with MS. This has become a disappointing  month long tennis match with no answers to this issue. It seems that there is a lack of technical resources familiar with on-premise systems.

I was hoping there was someone in the forum with an on-premise system who has successfully accomplished this installation.

Hi Miker, I'm not sure how this works for onprem but I would create a support ticket while you wait to see if anyone in this forum has advice!
