How to add license to solutions in D365 CRM or Power Apps

Hi,

I need to add license to solutions in my App (Sales app) or it can be any model-driven app. The scenario is that I have to restrict the functionality added in the solution, after a specified time.

I'm using CRM Online.

Kindly suggest me any solutions.

Thanks

    Hey Sheryar.

Can you please provide some more details?  I understand you've created an App that runs on Dataverse/PowerPlaform. And you plan to provide some access (let's say a 30 days trial) and after that period of time, require a license.  Is this correct?

    Regards

    Hi Daniel.

Yes, I do need to restrict but on Solution level. Let's say, I have added a web resource in a new solution, and this solution only contains this web resource. So what I need to do is, provide a trial or complete access (but for a time period). After this period, the user need to pay for another year(just an example) to be able use the functionality, in that web resource.

I hope you get my point.

    Thanks

    Hey Sheryar.

On powerapps.microsoft.com/.../ you have some nice documentation on controlling licensing.  In your solution you can include at least a piece of software (webservice call, etc) that either checks for the license expiration (or an expiration token) or makes a call to a webservice on the manufacturer to get the status of the licensing.

    Hi Sheryar Saghir

In additon to @Daniel Perez Aguiar

Your solution must be distributed as managed.

Handle managed properties of each component to prevent others to customize.

Grap the installation date of your solution. Add validation with all the features in your app/solution.

something like installation Date <= the date or parameter which you are getting from the web service

if the condition is true run the feature

else throw the error: Buy a license or something.
