Excel add-in for Import of number sequences?

Hello everybody,

I have a question about Excel add-in: have you ever used it for the Import of number sequences in AX 2012?

what table should I use? NumberSequenceTable seems to be not the right table, as I get there a number of irrelevant entities like Calendar and date Periods..

or is it better to set up the number sequences manually?

The tables are NumberSequenceTable, NumberSequenceReference, NumberSequenceGroup, NumberSequenceGroupRef. Using Excel for this is not a good idea. The Data Import Export Framework has an Entity for pulling in these values correctly.

Hi Joylon,

Why do you need to import number sequences?

Do you have special requests in regards to the prefix or suffix? If so, in relation to which number sequences?

AX has a lot of number sequences. Wouldn't it be easier to make use of the number sequence wizard and adjust only those manually for which you have some special requirements?

Excel addin is not suggested use DIEF instead.
