Error in email editor: missing link to subscription center

Hello,

Since a couple of weeks we are having some issues with our email designs in Customer Insights - Journeys Outbound Marketing. We have added a link to the subscription center (we are using both the default subscription center and a custom one) which is embedded on an external website. The Unsubscribe button is linked directly to the external url, so there is no marketing page in between. This was working fine, up until a few weeks ago when it started giving this error saying the html and content part was missing a link to the subscription center. As a work around, I have tried to create a marketing page where we added the subscription form, so we can use the assist button the directly link it in the email design, but the marketing pages seem to have some issues as well since they get stuck in the /Going live/ status.

Are these known bugs in Outbound Marketing? Does anywone know how to solve or work around them?

Thanking you in advance!

    Hi Fiona,

Thank you for your reply. We do not link to the content settings subscription center or use any dynamic code via assist edit, since our subscription center is embedded on a page on our website. So the URL underneath the button is just a manually typed url to that specific page. It was working just fine this way before, so it seems something has changed. Also, we are not able to use the default subscription center (or any other marketing page) since marketing pages are stuck in the Going Live status.

    Hi Sophieanne,

When you edit the currently embedded Subscription Center link - what is the URL field currently displaying?

    Example:

If it's currently linked to Content Settings as in the above screenshot, could you please confirm what is displaying in the Subscription Center field on the relative Consent Settings record?

Megan V. Walker also has an informative article on setting up external links that you may also find helpful:

Regarding the issue with your marketing pages, I would recommend opening a ticket with Microsoft for further support as I haven't encountered any ongoing bugs relating to this.

If this answer was helpful, please consider marking it as verified :) Any questions please let me know, and I will try my best to answer them

    Kind regards,
    Fiona
