No bank statements were imported successfully BAI2

Hi Everone,

We are using D365 FO and we were asked to configure advanced bank reconciliation function. I have completed steps listed in Set up the advanced bank reconciliation import process - Finance | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Docs. Map is completed. Transformation is completed. We use BAI2 as the format and enabled advanced bank reconciliation under bank account.

Now when I test this function, I upload my bank statement file (in CSV format) and nothing show up.

And I go check data management - execution log, it's showing "The specified file is not in the same format as the source data format selected.
'1' 'Bank statements_BankStatementDocumentEntity' record(s) inserted in staging"

I'm new to Microsoft AX and couldn't figure out what is the cause. Is it because my bank statement file is in CSV? Do I need to make any adjustments to my bank statement file before uploading into AX? many thanks in advance for any contribution on this.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Kate,

Please check if the transformation files (xslt) were the correct ones, setup as per the documentation and if your CSV is a valid BAI2 file. If you continue having this error, you can reach out to your partner or Microsoft Support for more in depth assistance.

    Hi Kate,

    1) Try with importing file in BAI2(text) format

    2) Ensure you are importing to correct bank account. Match D365 bank account number with account number in bank statement file.

    Thanks,

    Prem

    Hi Saurabh,

I used sample setup file downloaded from visual studios as below link guided. I think I need to change my bank statement CSV file as the error message is saying format is not correct.

    Hi Prem,

If bank cannot provide statement in text format, Do I need to manually maintain the file everytime I receive CSV statement from bank and change it to text format then upload file?

    Hi Andre,

Can you further discuss how to confirm if my CSV is a valid BAI2 file? I'm so confused here. I set up BAI2 file type to txt as the instruction guided, and my file is in CVS format. Do I need to manually transform the whole file to txt format in BAI2 layout?

    Hi Kate,

You can check if your file is correct with help of the BAI2 file description and/or file examples. You can find more details here: quickstream.westpac.com.au/.../
