Dynamics NAV 2013 crashes when trying to open a Document page from the corresponding List page

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I am working on an object migration from NAV 2009 R2 to NAV 2013 in our ISV development environment.

I have successfully transferred and adapted our custom objects.  However, the NAV client goes berzerk every time I try to do either of the following:

- Double-clicking a row in the List page

- Clicking New (or hitting ctrl-N) in the ribbon

- Clicking Edit (or hitting ctrl-shft-E) in the ribbon

- Clicking View (or hitting ctrl-shft-R) in the ribbon

- Clicking Delete (or hitting ctrl-shft-R) in the ribbon

The only action that will successfully open the Document page is clicking the Card (or hitting shft-F7) in the ribbon.

Ideas, anyone?

Thanks,

Ricardo.

Does this problem happen also on standard (untouched) obcjects?

    Mohana,

Thank you for your input.  Just to be on the safe side, I did just that..  All objects compiled properly, except for a few that are no longer in use anyway.

    Same results.

    Ricardo.

    Mohana,

Thank you for your input, and did it again.  Al   l objects compile properly, except for a few no longer in use anyway.

    Same results.

First thing I always do/suggest is to compile all objects and restart service.
