MS Dynamics AX 2009 windows size\placement

I have MS Dynamics AX 2009 at our office. It works fine, but at one of the screens the "OK" button on the bottom is hidden behind the taskbar and can't be clicked easily. The problem is not present in a desktop with Screen resolution 1920 x 1080. The laptop which my colleague uses has resolution 1366 x 768.  The buttons at the bottom are not visible and hence not clickable.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think you need to reset the form's user setup.

Right click in any field in the form, and select "Setup" in the form that comes up press the "Reset" button.

Close the form and open it again, hopefully that will fix the problem.

Thank you for your reply. Actually we are using the default form itself. There's no changes made from default. So resetting doesnt help. I will give you an example. The Quotation option in Accounts Receivable. The OK and Cancel Buttons go below taskbar. I have a screenshot but I cant seem to be able to upload it here. The maximum size permissible for uploaded image seems to be 64KB? oO

Ok I am not able to find the form you are talking about, What is the name of the actual form? (right click any field on the form, select setup, you will find the form name on the second tab)

But generally i find that all forms in AX can be resized, but can sometimes be troublesome.
But if you can see the upper left or right corner, of the form, you should be able to drag and resize it.

Or open the form (As the same user) on a machine with a better resolution and resize it there, then it should have the right size next time the user opens it.

The form is located in Accounts Receivable - Common Forms - Sales Quotation Details - Create Quotation. The form is a dialog type and can not be resized during its execution. But it size is expanding more that computer screen (when screen resolution is 1366 x 768), which is taking  the "OK" and "Cancel" buttons below taskbar.

    Hi,

This creation form can indeed cause issues on smaller screens. You can try to collapse some field groups (if available; can't remember directly all details of this form in AX2009).

Otherwise you need to customize the dialog form to have all information visible.

I don't know how often you use it and what language you run AX in, but perhaps you could use the keyboard shortcut as a workaround. Alt-O is Ok in English (depending on created buttons on the form). If your default language is dutch your not so lucky, you open the menu bar :).

Ok i found the form now, and as André says it has something to do with the size of that form, it's simply to big standard for that size screen.

Not it's is possible that there are some field groups on it you can collapse, but you probably rather need to remove some fields to give more space.

But you can do that as the user, just right click a field and say hide, that could give you more space.

Or as a last resort have a developer change the design of the form.

Thank you for your reply. I was looking for probably an easy setting somewhere :D But I guess your reply clears that. I will try to customize if possible and remove details i dont need.

    Hi,

You can also use the Personalization option like Rudi mentioned to hide some controls which are not needed for this user. Then you don't have to customize it. Other persons can then still work with the standard.
