LCS user role issue

Hi,

I am setup as a user in LCS with 'Contributor' role. I asked my organisation's admin to elevate me to 'Admin' role in LCS which he did. But my role keep flickering back to 'Contributor'.

And when I say flickering, I mean unstable record status. My Admin sets it to 'Admin' and save. His machine shows it 'Admin'. I log back in and see it as 'Contributor'. He does the same process again and now I also see the role as 'Admin' but no other Admin access (like Promote button in methodologies). Next day I am back to 'Contributor' again. Now my admin is not able to elevate my role, no matter how many attempts he take. Once he refreshes the screen after saving, I am back to 'Contributor' again.

Has anyone faced with this scenario? Am I missing something?

    Are you talking about organization-level access or project-level access? These are two different things. If it's about projects, ensure yourself that you're looking always at the same project.

    Organization level access. The one where we go from LCS homepage > 'Organization users' tile.

    It looks like a bug to me; I would report it to Microsoft.

    I found a solution. I need to be an 'Admin' inside my company's partner source first. Then only I can be given 'Admin' inside company's LCS.

    This is not documented anywhere but MS told my colleague when he created a support ticket with MS.
