Hello partners,

I want to add a question in our marketing form that says /Do you require our services?/

1. Do all the fields in the form need to be mapped to a corresponding field in the lead record? For example, if our lead record doesn't currently have a field labeled /Services Required/, ,- where would the response to my question 'Do you require our services/ be directed to on the lead record?

Thank you so much!

    Hi,

Our team has analyzed your issue and during our team's testing we found that if you select a specific type (e.g. Option Set, Two Option, etc.) when creating an MKT Field, you have to map the field or you will get the following error.

Even if you use the "Text" type and successfully create the MKT Field and add it to the MKT Form, the following warning will appear when you click "Check For Errors".

If you ignore the above warning and test the form for submission, since you have not done the field mapping, you will not be able to get the submission result of the field in the "Contact" or "Lead" table, you can only get the submission result in the "Contact" or "Lead" table. You can only find the result in "Marketing Form Submission View".

In addition, the official documentation mentions that each field displayed in the Marketing Form must be explicitly mapped to a Contact or Lead field in the Dynamics 365 database, where the value submitted for that field is stored.

The link to the documentation is as follows

I hope my answer is helpful to you! If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

    Best Regards,

Can you have multiple marketing form fields mapped to the same lead record field? Will they just overwrite each other?

Is it complicated to add additional fields in the lead record?
