Release Wave 1 2022 - Bad behavior with Content blocks

Posted on by 245
Hi Guys,

The long-awaited update on content blocks is finally here.

In addition to text and image functionality, the divider, code, QR, video and button can now also be used. In addition, the expansion through sections and layout columns.

BUT, as far as i tested my content block the format is still really bad... when I started building the content block f.e. a Footer it looks pretty well:

But after saving it, it looks like that:

Furthermore I can't fine my content blocks i just created. Pressing F5 didnt help. And after waiting 15 minutes, its still not there...I even used taggs to filter my blocks. But nope :(

I really have to say that is a really great feature update, but its not working at all in daily business....

Any Suggestions? Any Insights? What is your experiences?

Best Regards,

Joannis

How can that be a problem? Its build with the new Content Builder? How is it possible that Devolopment Team is building something and things turn out to not work.

Thanks for your effort anyways! I will open a ticket at Microsoft Support.

    Hi Joannis,

Thank you for providing the HTML code.

The problem seems to be the class on sections:

    <div data-section="true" class="emptySection emptyContainer">
This class is removed when an element is dragged or added to the section.
This issue can happen when the code was copied directly to the HTML code, and the class was not removed for the section.
The solution is to remove the "emptySection" class from all sections that have it and the sections should be visible in the preview.
And if you are coping the code, please try first adding an element, and then replacing that element with the code you want to use inside of columns.
Here is the code with the fix:

    Hi Joannis,

Would you please provide the HTML code snippet of the content block?

I'll try to reproduce the issue of layout.

    Part 2:

After I checked if I can use my content block in email tempates, I could see them.

But again - that is such a bad behavior in the email designer....

And look how it is in Preview and test:

Full Parts of the Design are missing...
