Company assets planning, need your brainstorming skills.

Posted on by 99

Hey Guys, I have been tasked with presenting field service to our maintenance department to see if they want to use this as a CMMS for our own company assets. I do have a trial environment and I have done the Udemy course. I am coming from Dynamics CRM so I am somewhat familiar with configuring.

Our main objective is to have our company assets on scheduled preventative maintenance or inspections for ISO certifications. This is where I am a bit confused.

Currently I set up a test asset and an inspection template, I want this inspection to be scheduled every 6 months theoretically.

What is the best and easiest way to do this??

Makes sense, Many companies create a different app module and only include the functionality they need

Hey Dan, im following you guys 100%, what i am realizing is that in order to use this as a dedicated CMMS for our own company I will be doing alot of scaling down of the program. Due to the fact that we only really use maybe 3-4 entities ill be removing alot of stuff from the forms.

Exactly what Scott said. You can create an agreement, and add an agreement booking setup. On that setup you can add the assets and incident type which contains the inspection task. Here is the doc - docs.microsoft.com/.../set-up-customer-agreements

My recommendation to you would be to use the Agreements functionality.  Create a booking setup and add incident type (and make sure you have a service task that has that inspection template).  The booking setup is where you can setup the recurrence ...it'll create the work order and you can have it create the booking.  I hope that helps.

    Hi,

Please refer to the following documentation.
