Generating German Audit File (GDPdU) results in timeout

Hello,

the creation of a German audit file (General ledger -> Periodic tasks -> Data export -> German audit file output) is working as it should for small periods.

But if we use longer periods, like a month or more, the task takes too long and does not create an output file ("This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below: <Error> <Message>An error has occurred.</Message></Error>")

I tried to run it as a batch. The batch finishes, but does not create an output file. How can I access the .zip-file that should have been generated by the batch process?

Kind regards

Tino Lingenberg

    Hello Ludwig,

instead of sharepoint I used the standard archive as destination and that worked too. I can download the created files via organization administration -> electronic reporting -> electronic reporting jobs

    Thanks again!

    Hello Ludwig,

thank you for your help! I think this is exactly what I was searching for. The destinations now do appear on the dialog and I can try out the different options.

    Kind regards

    Hello Tino,

    Try the following:

In the electronic reporting workspace you should find a menu item called 'electronic reporting destination'.

Open this and select the German audit file.

In the middle part select the different elements, such as Zip file, dtd file and whatever you want to have exported.

Probably start testing with the zip file first.

Then click on settings and in the form that opens select a sharepoint document library.

Note: The sharepoint document library needs to be setup first and linked to your document management settings.

Then run the report in batch again.

The file should be put on your sharepoint once it is finished.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hello Ludwig,

thank you for your quick response!

I'm not quite sure where to setup the output destination. The data export procedure creates a .zip-file, but in the parameters of the dialog there is no option to choose an output destination.

Is there any other place where a destination can be chosen that I'm missing?

    Kind regards

    Tino

    Hello Tino,

    Please try the following:

Setup a specific electronic reporting output destination for your audit file.

Make sure that this is saved on a SharePoint document library.

Start then the process again in batch and make sure that the output destination is set to the SharePoint.

    This should work.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
