Catalog Upload Problem - You cannot upload files due to upload restrictions.

Hi.

I'm trying to create and upload a product catalog but it fails - but that's another story.

Anyway - In the Catalog History File I have 7 entries.

You cannot upload files due to upload restrictions.  Please try again uploading file after some time

I guess it must be a space issue, although none of the 7 files have a size of more than 0.001 MB.

None of the 7 upload succeeded so I'm trying to clear out the files.

I have (possibly foolishly) deleted the files from the "CatalogImportPickup" directory and the "5737xxxxx.SchemaCompliantDrop.Archive" directory, but they still appear in the "Catalog History File" list and I still get the message "Catalog Upload Problem - You cannot upload files due to upload restrictions."

What do I do???

You are getting this error becuse your number of active uploads is greater than the allowed number setup in the parameters. This is checked in \Classes\CatCatalogImportFile\ensureFileUploadable. And I think the default parameter setting is for 5 files.

The active uploads are stored in the catVendorCatalogMaintenanceRequest, so you might need to look into that.

Thanks for the reply.  I've now increased the limit from 5 to 50 on the screen:

Procurement and sourcing > Setup > Vendors > Vendor catalog import parameters.

Now - I'm new to this and having other problems importing a catalog - so I have lots of entries for the vendor under "Catalog History" which I would like to remove.

So is the only way of removing them by writting a X++ application to delete the records from  catVendorCatalogMaintenanceRequest ???

    Thanks Trefor
