What will be cost doing Authentication using App Service.

Hi Community,

As Basic authentication is going to be deprecated for Business Central, we suppose to do the authentication using OAuth for which I am creating the Azure App services in my Azure Active Directory for the same tenant.

We have created the App Service and enable the API for Business Central. I wanted to know if this will cost me extra as we have not done any deployment and we are just consuming the app services for Authentication used in Custom Integration Code.

Hello Amit,

As many azure services are free, new app registration for your default tenant in your AAD will never gonna cost you, this is the same for your Organisation Active Directory. You can use Microsoft graph and Business Central Financial services while giving permissions to your app for Authentication.

I have tried OAuth for reading values, but still trying to understand how to update values. Please confirm if you are able to update records using OAuth 2.0.
