Management Reporter db log file is is huge

After refreshing the data mart the db ldf log file has been growing in excess of 200 GB in size where the data mart is 230 GB. Before the refresh this was not an issue.

The recovery model is set to Simple. I have been shrinking the ldf daily otherwise all free space is consumed.

What can i do to keep the log from growing this large?

Recovery is set to simple, I flipped it to FULL and then back to Simple. Running on SQL 2016.

RE: Management Reporter db log file is is huge

    Hello Sergi,

Thank you for the details. In order to best help you, please provide some additional details which are requested below:

    1. What is the full version number of your MR 2012 installation?

    2. What is the full version number of your Dynamics AX 2012 installation?

    3. What messages are output in the Data Mart Integration Log found in the Configuration Console?

There were some fixes released in really old versions of MR 2012 that no longer occur in the most current CU16 release. CU16 should work with all AX 2012 versions per blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../management-reporter-feature-and-version-number-summary.

You can download the latest MR 2012 version from the following links:

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../MROverview

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../MROverview

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

What Management Reporter version do you operate?

Is this possibly an older one or are you on the latest MR release?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
