Users are remote so will need to connect to AX via RDS. They would like to be able to use the AX Office add-in features.
Users currently have Office license that came with the purchase of their machines (I believe also known as OEM license). So according to this site http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/about-licensing/briefs/winserv2012-rds.aspx volume licensing is required if user need to use Office on the RDS server or the network.
Could you please confirm Office volume licensing is required by the customer in order to be able to use AX Office add in feature when using AX via RDS? So, even if you have the option "remote Desktop session exports to: Client Excel", the customer would still need to purchase Office Volume licensing to be able to use all the AX Office add in features (example using document service to upload data to AX via Excel)?
Thanks,
Jackie
