Navision incoming request to be processed by a webservice

Hi,

I have a third party system, which needs to send Navision XML messages which will be processed to update some records in Navision.

I was thinking of creating a SOAP webservice and exposing this webservice to the third party to be able to access and send Navision requests.

Can anyone let me know, how I can expose the navision webservice , so it is accessible by the third party application?

Any thoughts?

Please check these links.  Either you can use the Pages or have to develop custom logic based on what you want to do.

    Hi,

Thank you for the links. I am able to consume the webservice in navision using Visual studio.

Any ideas on how this url would look if it were to be used by an external application? It cannot be the localhost url, so how do I connect to a navision webservice from an external application. Any thoughts on this?

Are the applications will be in the same domain, if so you can use the IP address instead of localhost, if they are not in same domain then you need open the port for that server to access it outside domain.
