My client is in the process of upgrading to SL2018 and works remotely. They are in the process of testing and have not gone live. For SL2018 they have separate SQL and application servers and a third machine used as a virtual desktop. The servers and the virtual desktop all work well when logged in under the administrator account
However, when the user logs into the new machine under her own account, the desktop that displays is that of the old Solomon machine. Per control panel/system one can see that they are logged into the new machine, yet it pulls the desktop from the old and none of the new SL icons are visible. Is there an AD setup or option that I may be missing. My expectation is that when she logs into the new machine it should be an empty desktop.
Please advise. Look forward to a reply. Thank you.
JG
Hello JG,
I suspect one of the team members I queried will come back and mention the profiles...I'm assuming if they are logging in with the same domain account, it would use the profile connected to the account on the VM.
I wonder if deleting the profile and having them recreate it (I think just logging in does it)
Best Regards,
Jana
Thank you Jana,
I've suspected a profile issue and had advised the client of such, but their IT is not the best in responding. Appreciate the feedback.

Dear JG,
Well, this is a doozie. I'll ping an environment expert, but the first thing that comes to mind is the users profile? Could it be pulling an old profile or something. It seems odd that it would even know of the old desktops, is #3 a new virtual machine?
Best Regards,
Jana MacDonald
