MailChimp integration with Dynamics AX

Hi,

My knowledge of Mailchimp isn't well enough, so need some help.

Objective is to create mails from AX2012R2 and send them by MailChimp for statistics, because we want to measure what has been done with the sended mails and so on.

To develop a connector to Mailchimp will not be a problem, a add-on is not preferred.

Question: how to do it :-) Anyone done it already ?

    Hi,

    What is the reason that you want to develop something yourself instead of searching for ISV solutions? (I'm not aware if one does exists, but I do think it will save a lot of time if there is one).

    Note that Microsoft Flow has connectors and integration options out of the box. There is no data connector for on-premise solutions. If you are able to get the data available in the cloud from AX2012, then this might be a viable option.

    Hi André,

    Thanks for your response, first of all an ISV solution is mostly a wider solution with maintenance cost yearly and investment, but it also depends what the effort is to build it yourself.

    Hi,

    Your understanding is correct. Usually an ISV invests a lot of time in a product and is hoping to sell multiple licenses. In that way, the investment will be spread across multiple customers. Indeed depending on your estimation you have to compare it with license costs and maintenance or subscriptions.
