Dear Experts,

I already post my question about how to involve our engineering dept and which module should be used for them in dynamics ax 2012 R3. I receive an answer from our community members. They suggest to me. Service Management Module and Project Management Module. Right now our requirement is below please check and show your valuable suggestions that which module will fulfill our requirements.

Breakdown Maintenance
Counter base Preventive.
Calibration Schedule.(In-house)
Calibration Schedule.(External agency)
External Party Maintenance.
List of spares
Engineering Purchase.
Engineering PO.
Engineering Material ERP Codification.

Hi Sabhir Ahmad,

I completely agree with Ludwig on this one, it is very difficult to assess correctly without knowing complete specific details of the business process, this is more a task for a consultant which he will be able to answer for sure in detail the best solution.

Hello Shabir Ahmad,

The requirements that you listed are not detailed enough to give you a clear and straightforward answer.

It is thus difficult to say whether and to what extend you will be able to fulfill the different processes that stand behind those bullet points with the standard modules.

In addition to the standard module functionalities, I would recommend having a look at the MS appsource for 3rd party products. Even if you don't plan using them, you can get an impression what might be tricky to handle in the standard application vs. those 3rd party products.
