Modify Legal entity's contact information via customer forms

Hello everyone,

The customer is telling(in total) me that he can modify Organization administration>>Organization>>Legal entities>>contact information (email) via updating customer Master Data. I see that the field PrivateForParty is 0,to me this means that the customer's user is not using this mail. I checked user's roles and he does not have access to OMLegalEntity form,nor on the menuitem and nor on the Global address book. but on the record which is in OMLegalEntity,I see that user in the field modifiedBy's value. What are other ways to modify the table LogisticsElectronicsAddress's Locator field?

    Hi Rati,

    As the customer and legal entity are the same GAB party, it is possible to change the contact info. I assume the user should be able to see the customer and contact data, so address book security is not an option. It would be possible to create an XDS policy where it would exclude modify rights on contact info related to legal entity parties. This would be not that easy to achieve.

    Yes, the customer is a legal entity itself. Is there a setup to avoid this?

    Hi Rati,

    The customer addresses and contact info are stored in Global address book party records. So it would be possible to change contact information if the customer is also a legal entity. If this user also has access to the Global address book, he might see all information.

    From your question I do understand that this person does not have access to the GAB also not on legal entities. Can you confirm if the legal entity is also a customer? This would explain the reason why the user can change it.
