Hi,

I want to add fields which are not a part of grid to be searchable in quick filter control.Can anyone suggest me how to do this.

My form design pattern is simple list and details - List Grid

And i have added quick filter and grid and all the sub patterns required.

what i want to know is that ,how to make the fields that are not in the grid to be searchable in quick filter ?

Quick filter controls can only be tied to a Grid and the fields added to them are visible controls on the target grid.

But i want to make the fields which are not added in grid ,but they are in Data source of the form,Can anyone suggest me with the sample code.

For example:

I have two fields in my grid,which can be searchable in quick filter control of simple list and details :List grid pattern ,but i want all the fields of the datasource which is in the form to be searchable in the quick filter.

This currently not supported by standard framework. You can alternatively train users to use the filter on the left hand side of Grid to add and use any number of fields they like.

Thank you sumit,

But cant we do like this:

Override the apply filter() of quick filter by setting the Target control property of grid to blank.

If possible provide me link of quick filter control methods
