Show the item name when selected the item id from lookup

I have a grid with itemid lookup (with InventTable relation).i want to display Itemname automatically when i select ItemID .

How can show the item name when selected the item id from lookup ? Please help me..

    You want to display the name in the grid, after you actually select the Item? The fastest way would be to add a display method to the table that is used to display data in your grid (and that has that column for ItemId), display method that returns the name of the item and then add this display method to your grid.

    First create a method like this..

    display InventItemName itemname()

    {

         return InventTable::find(this.ItemID,false).Name;

    }

    then assign this on Data Method of column or field (stringEdit)
