Table relations View

Hi there,

Please I wanna show relations between tables in Navision, for the sake of clarity i give you straight forward a simple example where i have the table Item and the table Sales invoice lines where there is items invoiced there (field item in table sales invoice lines), i wanna show the relation between the two tables (key of the first table and key of the other table for example).
How can i do in order to show the relation because i can't target it neither in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio by clicking show dependencies (they gave me no other tables in relation), neither in Navision itself by seeing table relation in properties of fields in tables.
Please help me with this and i'll be ultimately thankful!

    Hi,

NAV provides a system-table called "Field".

This table contains all fields and the corresponding relation.

    Really old-school ;-)

It is not available in the object designer, create a new form/page and for  type field for table name and that is the only you can view the data of the field table.

    Hi,

What do you mean by "and for  type field for table name"?

    Thanks!

What Suresh mean is that you need to create a new list form in Object Designer. Use the wizard and as SourceTable set "Field" (the name of this NAV virtual table). Then save the list form (for example 50000) and run it. You will see all fields and relations.

This is a problem related to NAV License. Are you using a developer license or a customer license? So strange that you cannot create Page 50000. Check your license and save the object in your permitted license range.

    Hi again,

I'm on Nav 2018 Demo Database, I just wanna look inside the virtual table "Field" to see how tables are related to each other (for example how do I easy see all the locations of a certain field name in the database).

If you can help to do so with another way please enlighten me.

Click Preview and you should be able to see the page. I suggest to change your license in Development Environment.

You need to have Application Developer or Solution Developer License to create the Objects, if you don't have it then you cannot create them. You need to contact the partner.
