Job scheduling - calender of secondary ressource determines lead time

Hi,

we are facing at our customer the following challenge in production scheduling:

ProdRoute line Primary: ressource (=machine) has a 24h calendar

line Secondary-1: ressource (=worker) has a 8h calendar

In real production the operator fills the machine and leaves the plant in the evening but the machine is still running all night. When scheduling the production order the secondary route determines the lead time. E.g. the work load for the machine is 20 hours (specified in primary line) but the production is scheduled for almost 3 days because the worker has only 8 hours capacity a day (limited capacity in ressource is not set).

Working with load percentage does not help.

Is there any chance to tell AX only to use the primary route line  for scheduling?

    Have you tried to change the route group on the secondary resource to one that does not have capacity restrictions?

    I think the best way is to report on the setup job by the worker and on the process job by the machine actuals... Having two resources with different calendars will limit your lead time to the sum when both resources are available.

    You can use setup job, another parallell job for the employee or bake the human cost into the machine cost by approximation.
