Newly added opportunity automatically gets cancelled off as lost

When I add a new opportunity to Dynamics, I save it and it shows as /in progress/, then before I get a chance to update any other field it automatically gets cancelled off. I then need to go in and reopen the opportunity to be able to amend and keep it in progress. It seems then remain open, but just wondering if anyone knows what would be causing it to automatically get cancelled once I first add it?

Thanks

    Hi Partner,
    This is not out-of-the-box behaviour.
Check if there is any automation acting(workflow/flow/javascript/plugin) on the creation action of the opportunity record?
You can use audit feature to check if there is an update operation?

I hope you can mark my answer verified if it is helpful! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
    Regards,
    Leah
