How to include Order margin in ATP calculation

Hi,

We have the following scenario.

On the project item requirement we work with ATP + issue margin for Delivery date control.
The item we add on the item requirement has a Purchase lead time of 5 working days. The item requirement is added on 27th of December, thus the requested ship date is 6th of January (weekends and 1st of Jan = non-working days). However, we run the MRP Master planning only during the night due to performance. Which means the planned order for this item requirement will show up for our ordering department on the next working day, 30th of December. This means we are already falling 1 day behind our requested ship date on the item requirement.

I am looking for a way to add another day margin, that would be included in the ATP calculation when entering the item requirements. I have tried the Receipt margin and Reorder margin on both the Master plan and the Coverage groups, but these only apply after running the MRP.
Adding another day to the issue margin would cause all the items to be received one day earlier in the warehouse/on location then needed.

Any suggestions on how to include an extra day margin for our ordering department, which would lead to showing a realistic requested ship date on the project item requirement?

Niels

    Hi,

Did anyone go through this before and how did you manage to solve this?  I'm looking for a solution, preferably without modifications, to show a realistic ATP.
