Hi AX Intels,

Can someone help me with this one. I added a field String on Product Receipt named ActualReceiver. Now I want to save the input of that inputfield by the time the user will Click OK. How can I save it to the table? Thankyou in advance.

Regards,

WH

    Hey there

override the closeOk method of the form, and run update query with new value on table if U want to change based on some condition.

its a default behavior of ax form, any data is input in fields will be saved automatically, unless u wanna change it on run time.

    Hello Welyelf,

Do you want Actual receiver value to be saved to PurchParmTable or VendPackingSlipJournal (which will be created after clicking OK) ? Please Clarify..

    Thanks,

    Satish K.

    Welyelf Hisula,

AX is very kind it does the magic of saving data to table itself.

Let me write the steps if you haven't followed these already:

Add a field in table (That's what you have already done.)

Go to your form in AOT, go to datasource node and right click your datasource, click restore.

Now drag Actual Receiver Field and drop on form design.

This is how AX will save the data in table itself. It doesn't save the data if you add any control manually and don't refer it to some Data source field.

In your case it seems it is referring to Data source field and it should work.

What is the problem you are facing?

    Hi Satish,

In Class/VendPackingJourCreate i will get the value of ActualReceiver from PurchParmTable and save it to VendPackingSlipJournal.

    Thankyou.
