Hi there.
A company we recently acquired (10 users) is using D365 CRM in the cloud as an app within their O365 tenant.
Users log into the O365 tenant using their user@companydomain.com identity - and then launch CRM.
We want to a full migration these users OUT of this tenant into a separate parentcompany.com tenant. We will manually handle the migration of relevant user-content (Email/OneDrive/SharePoint/CRM Data) from the source tenant to the destination tenant - no issues there.
But for historical purposes, if we remove @companydomain.com from the source tenant and move the domain to the parent company, are users still able to log into OLD CRM in the source tenant using the companyname.onmicrosoft.com login if the source tenant is still active?
Unclear if CRM will break if we remove the custom domain name and if the users will still be able to log into CRM or not.
Anyone done this before?
Anyone changed the source-tenant name? That's an option too..
Steps required?
Thank you.
