Hi, I've been trying to import data from excel using rapidstart for NAV 2013 for the Items master. There are about 1645 records but every time I perform the migration, NAV crashes or hangs and does not respond. This isn't normal right? I have tables much larger than this so I'm quite worried.
Any insights?

I has similar issue but it was related to the Excel license as the excel on the device did not have any license. This prevented excel from opening the file and uploading through Rapidstart. In fact, I've uploaded nearly 40,000 items at one go.
Hi CLquelerei,
Yes, especial Item table with more columns than others.
It also made me surprised for my first time importing master data for customers on NAV 2013. Therefore, I decided to enhance this function with Text and XML format. It is faster and more interactive.
Hi Khoa, reducing it to 500 records seems to help but its surprisingly quite slow. Took about 4hrs to upload data.
Hi CLquelerei,
Try to split it by 500 or 1000 records.
Otherwise, you can use text file (csv format), it is faster.
Do you have any error? check event viewer as well.
check whether you have any special characters in excel.
did you try to reduce the no. of records and try multiple times?
