Management Reporter 5-4-4 Calendar and Date Headers

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport

We use a 5-4-4 calendar.  For example, our June month-end is actually July 2.

With management report if we use @CalMonthLong it says July, not June.

Also would like to use "June 2017" in the pager header to without manually having to change the report every time.

Any way to compensate to get the 5-4-4 calendar to properly reflect in management reporter?  FYI, we are using AX R12 v3

    Hello Scott,

For FX that is used with GP, it seems to work with a different selection. See: www.frxbuzz.com/fighting-frx-month-descriptions-with-445-accounting

I am not sure if this works the same with AX.

Can you try using the @FiscalPeriodName Auto text?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Thanks for the suggestion.  I did try the @FiscalPeriodName and that puts July instead of June.  Also tried the @perdesc  but Management Reporter just took that as text.

    Hello Scott,

If you already tried all other auto text options then I believe that there is no way to get this automized without making some changes to the MR application.

Probably also contact the MS support to see if they have a 'hidden' workaround that resolves this issue.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Scott,  did you find a resolution for this?  I have the same scenario that I'd like to resolve using MR with AX2012R3.

I have not found a solution for this issue yet.

    Scott,

I confirmed that this is a bug with MR for all cumulative updates.   The @FiscalPeriodName is intended to return the correct fiscal period name.  For your example of your fiscal period June ending on July 2nd it is designed to return a value of June (or basically the Fiscal Period Name you have set up within AX on your fiscal calendar).   Microsoft does not have a planned resolution date for this (MR is at CU16 at the time of this posting).
