OnClick Time Capture

Hi everyone,

We use Dynamics 365 cloud Production. We charge our customers per service hours in addition to parts. Is it possible in Dynamics to add time Capture where users (Field service users) can capture their work time by one click. For example, Punsh-in, pause, in-break, continue, punsh-out buttons, instead of creating time capture records for each activity?

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

    Hello,

i never tried this but i think you can make a custom entity for your Time Capture.

You need to write a plugin because its not possible in the Standard CRM.

    Kind Regards

    Léon

    Hi Léon,

I really appreciate your suggestion. We already have time capture but we must create a record for each activity status, which is ridiculously too much. I was wondering if it possible to add button functions to make it easier on field people.

    Thanks again.

I believe that Field Service does this functionality already.

If you go into a Bookable resource booking and go to Booking Journal.

This will calculate the total time that the Field Resource was In progress on the job. I believe that the Booking Journal will only be created if the Work Order is marked as Open-Completed or as Closed Posted. (You can test it)

If your users are finding the switching to different statuses quite difficult, then you can create custom commands in Woodford which are essentially one click buttons to do any logic on the form you wish.
