Contract Obligation Line data population

Dear AX Experts,

The below Issue I am seeing in AX 2012 R2 version.

We have updated ToDate value as "12/31/2020" for contract Obligations using SQL query. But the Obligation Lines are not created for year 2020 .

Where as if we enter same value through AX UI the Obligation lines are created.

Can some one please suggest if there is a way to populate the lines.

Note: I tried DB sync and compiling of both ContractObligation and ObligationLine forms and tables and restarted AOS.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Mohan,

Can you explain the business problem? You are mentioning an update on a ToData field and records are not created. Do you need to create new records or update existing records? Do you get any errors?

What do you mean with SQL query? Are you manipulating data directly using SQL? If so, for what reason? Can't you use an AX 2012 class or job to do your task?

Thank you Andre for quick response.

Our business requires contracts in AX extended till end of 2020 , so one of my counterpart updated Contract Obligations ToDate value from "12/31/2019" to "12/31/2020" using SQL query (he is unaware of X++ job).

If we update ToDate from AX UI , it will automatically creates Obligation Lines and Invoicing Schedule till the end of the period (in our case it's till 12/31/2020). As the date was updated through SQL we are not seeing any Lines or schedule populated for Obligations.

Now I created X++ job and tested and the lines and schedule creating correct, but this process consuming much time as there are 36k records need to be updated.

So I wonder if there is any alternate way to handle this and populate the Lines and Schedule.

Please let me know if more details are needed.

    Thanks

    Mohan
