Upgrade AX 4 from Sp1 to SP2

 Hi All,

I am supposed to upgrade our Dynamics AX 4 SP1 infrastructure to Service Pack 2 (SP2) and I would like to have your advises. Could anybody helps me with a step by step guide or a useful link that I can use and proceed successfully ? I have 3 separate machines for the AOS, the SQL Sever database and the AX Enterprise Portal. All the servers are running under Windows Server 2003.

    The upgrade process can be split into three parts:
    • AX application upgrade
    • data upgrade, and
    • AX kernel upgrade
    The latter is the easiest part and a complexity of the former two parts highly depends on the degree of application customization. In case data model is changed significally you might need to write and execute custom data upgrade scripts to adopt the data to changes in the new SP. But usually an upgrade to a new SP is not quite difficult.
    There are official docs such as:The last document is exactly what you need - just ignore AX3-specific parts.
