Getting contact who has posted a comment in self-sevice Portal

Hi guys,

I'm quite new to the community and I have a question regarding the problem I'm facing.

I need to obtain a contact who has posted a portal comment in the case edit form. The Portal Comment has no property holding this information, there I can only find created by which is SYSTEM as well as the owner of the case. Contact reference is nowhere to be found. I went down and check Activity reference but with no luck, again the creator and owner references found there.

I knew this information must be stored somewhere as it can be found on the Comment view.

After diving deeper into the solution I found the unicorn, the is a field called "From" which most certainly holds the value I'm interested in. The probable culprit I'm not able to see it in my API response nor Flow dynamic fields is that the "Searchable" filed is set to "NO" and it''s grayed out so I'm not able to change that.

Do you know any solution to this problem? I'd be grateful if someone could help me out!

Thanks but unfortunately I'm not able to find such an entity as "Activity Party". I can only see table "Activity" name "activitypointer" but I already looked there for my value by hitting https://<my-crm-iinstance-url>/api/data/v9.1/activitypointers(<id-of-my-activity>) but it shows me all related fields apart from the "From" which is a pity.

    Hello,

You should check "Activity Party" entity - it's an intersect entity between your portal comment (that is activity) and contact.
