Add Product from item requirement to created item requirement Purchase order

Dear Sir,

I already specify the same vendor multiple line on item project item requirement, and function created a purchase order.

now I want to add or import other products from item requirement to the same created purchase order.

kindly any suggestion

    Hi,

    Can't you simply add the item manually to the already existing PO? If you create another item requirement line and select that a PO should be created, AX will create a new one.

    Thanks for respond,

    if I will add the product manually on the created purchase order, the line will not have a reference on the sales order or item requirement- other TAB, in this scenario when post packing slip it will not reduce item requirement

    Hi Mohammad,

    Please try the following: Add a new line on your already created PO, then go to the item requirement form and press F5 to get it updated. AX should add the additional line that you added in the PO.

    Would be great if you could test this and let us know whether this works for you.

    1- I cleared parameter item requirement.

    if I enable it, it will disable create purchase order from item requirement.

    2- if I will create a P.O from item task . for the item (that I want it from item requirement), it will create a new item requirement entries!

    Hi,

    No 1 is correct. If you enable the item requirement parameter the process flow is different and starts from the PO. AX automatically creates the item requirement for you in the Background and lets you decide whether or not you want to consume the items with the packing slip posting or later on through a manual packing slip posting of the item requirement in the project module.

    No 2: If you create a PO from an item requirement - which requires that the parameter mentioned under no 1 is disabled - AX will create a new PO. If later on you add new items to the item requirement and select the creation of a PO, AX will create a new one.

    However, you can avoid this by going to the previously created PO and manually adding a new line for the new item. If you do this and go back to your item requirement, AX adds the manually added PO line to your item requirement.

    thank you very much, but my issue is to add an item from the project item requirement to the previous created P.O.

    because I import all item requirement from the project quotation .

    but the user selectED some items and created P.O and he forget to include the remaining.

    all the items are on the same P.O

    Hi,

    The only way to realize that is through a system modification. If your users often face this situation I would probably go for it. Otherwise, the workaround through manually adding a PO line that adjusts the item requirement seems to be the better option.

    Would be great if you could keep us updated on what you decided as other community members might face the same issue.

    Hi Ludwig ,

    i have created a PO with Item (stocked product) , now @ time of Product Receipt the system is not creating the Item Requirement. (i have selected the checkbox :: create item requirement in Project Acc Parameters)..

    which thing is missing that is not letting the creation of Item Requirement. (i am using DAX 2012 R3 RTM version)

    Hi MUHAMMAD AHSAN TUFAIL,

    Can you test selecting the 'item consumption' parameter in addition to the 'item requirement' parameter?

    If both parameters are checked, the item requirement and consumption posting should take place automatically at the time the PO product receipt is posted.

    If nothing works, please take a look at LCS and asked a developer for some help. That is because your AX version is a bit old and a lot of Hotfixes related to item requirements have been released with the updates that were released after the RTM version.
