Real-time marketing only mode is enabled. Event origin must be set to real-time

Hi All,

In our environment, when we create an event, we encounter this error:
Exception Message: Exception 'InvalidPluginExecutionException' occured: Real-time marketing only mode is enabled. Event origin must be set to real-time., CorrelationId: b53d18b0-b2f7-47a2-8e45-ec023ffae702
 
I check the error details and it's coming from Microsoft.Dynamics.EventManagement.CrmPlugins.EventMgmtPlugin: Microsoft.Dynamics.EventManagement.CrmPlugins.EventMgmtPlugin.Plugins.PreventObmEventCreationForCjoOnly.
It runs on create of the event. This is an out of the box plugin.
 
What could be the possible reason for this error and way to fix it?
 
The current version of Dynamics 365 2022 release wave 1 enabled is Version 1710 (9.2.23121.184) online

    Outbound marketing module is no longer available on current environment causing errors when creating events.
    Try to install OBM module.
    1.Existing customers who complete new installations can add outbound features through a self-serve interface. To add outbound marketing features, go to Settings > Versions and select the Enable link.
    2.If there is no option to install outbound marketing in your environment:
    You can request an exception by filling out the outbound marketing request form.

    Hi Leah,
     
    We have another environment with OBM and RTM installed and we're starting to transition to RTM only hence installing OBM module is not an option.
     
    What are our other options.

    It seems that you're dealing with an issue related to event creation in Dynamics and the error message indicates that "Real-time marketing only mode" is enabled. To resolve this issue, you should enable the "Enable events creation in Real-time Journeys" feature in the feature switches, as shown in the image.
    Here are the steps to resolve the problem:
    1. Navigate to the feature switches settings in your Dynamics environment.
    2. Locate the "Enable events creation in Real-time Journeys" option in the feature switches.
    3. Activate or enable this feature by toggling it on.
    4. Save your changes.
    By enabling this feature, you should be able to create events for real-time journeys without encountering the "InvalidPluginExecutionException" error.

    Thanks for replying.
     
    On the environment with RTM and OBM module installed, this feature is visible.
     
    But on the environment where we encounter the issue and only RTM is installed, this feature is not visible.
     
    Are there any other way to fix this error without installing OBM module?

    A colleague help me resolve the issue.
     
    The issue is on the 'Marketing origin' field. It is not on the form.
     
    I added it to the form and set the value to 'Real-time Journeys' and was able to create an event.
