How to block item with specific serial number in BC.

Hello,

is there any possibility to block specific serial number in BC?

The goal is too block item from booking them on Ticket Order ( or any transaction).

Items are located in location with out zones and bins.

Items should stay in default location.

Hi,

Pls explain with example. If you want to block Item Transaction, then go to the Item card and update "Block" field.

Hello,

Thanks for the answer.

I want to block only one specific serial number not all item in the stock.

With Item card i can only block all pcs of particular item number.

Hi, This can be done with customization, but I personally don't recommend it.

You can just create a new location, something like Scrap, and then transfer item with the serial over there.

Then prohibit the use of this location in the business flow.

Hello,

Thanks for the answer.

The biggest difficulty in this case is that i can't move item to different location.

I figure out to "reserve" the specific serial number by "Transfer Order" - with out posting.

I have hope that's will be work and this specific serial number will be not invisible for the Ticket Order.

Hello,

I hope you're good.

Generally the same can be explored in -

Type - Serial No Information List. - In Tell me Bar.

Click on New and Enter the Item Details and Serial Number and Turn the Block Boolean True. (Screenshot Below)

We have a external software witch send a message to BC and in this case it is doesn't work : /.

You can block specific serial numbers in Serial No. Information card.

Doing this will block users from selecting that specific serial number but will not block the item.

Hello,

the solution with reservation is working.

The reserved item can't be booked on the other document.
