You may find a lot of details here about SQL and AX DB, and in the linked articles from Microsoft PFEs:

    www.daxrunbase.com/.../ax-database-tuning-and-maintenance

Also take a look at the DynamicsPerf tool available on LCS.

    Thanks Ievgen,

Actually i am looking for entire SQL optimization. Means sometime we saw that because of huge data we are facing problem in application level.

What we need to track in SQL monthly wise or regularly then we won't face this kind of issues.

Customer will happy with the application.

Please give me more shed on this.

    Thanks!

You can start from this blog article:

    blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../ax-performance-troubleshooting-checklist-part-1a-introduction-and-sql-configuration

It will guide you through SQL configuration and maintenance to performance monitoring. It's really a huge topic and you may spend a lot of time before you will find a root cause.

Another thing is data archiving, there is also a tool ax.help.dynamics.com/.../overview-of-the-microsoft-dynamics-ax-intelligent-data-management-framework-idmf it will help you to reduce amount of data and increase performance.

It is not a simple task, you need deep understanding of how AX and SQL server interacts and works, what tool can you use for addressing which problem that you have discovered. Read and understand all the blog posts and documentation that we have referred with Ievgen.

I have spent several months to go through the setups, reconfigure the systems during maintenance windows, collect information on what is slow and attempt various fixes at my current workplace before I could say the system was reliable.

Performance optimization is not a task that an inexperienced team could carry out, this is typically for technical architects with good exposure to address such problems.
