RMA Process when returning a customer asset to Warehouse

Hello,

I have tried with my client to use RMA when the asset is dismantled from site (account) and returned to WH.

Once the RMA receipt created,The warehouse specified was updated by the item but weirdly nothing happened to the asset. It still shows that is on site and it is still active which is a misleading data.

What is the best approach to reflect such movement on the asset record itself ?

    I recommend two things 

    1) make status inactive - you don’t want to loose the history 

    2) have some other field like a substatus and set it to returned to warehouse or etc.  

    Is the asset Serialized?
