Subscription centre content block error

We have set up a subscription page on an external website and placed this link into the subscription centre content settings. However, when we input the code to a marketing email using the content assist, it tried to link through to the normal subscription site and failed.

We created a new content block and inserted this and this seem to worked, linking through to our page but we still had to include the original marketing subscription link code in the email as when we checked for errors it was coming up saying we didn't have a subscription centre included (when it was deleted)?

What are we doing wrong or is there a bug? Hoping this makes sense.

Hi SBarker,

Did you create a new content setting to store custom external website subscription center? Have you checked that customer journey was applied with new content setting?

The subscription center link should be added by assit-edit tool, and customers should open subscription center via the link.(the original link you said)

Yes we have done both those things. We set up a new content setting and ensured the external website was in here. I have just checked the customer journey and it has a new updated content setting in ({{msdyncrm_marketingpage….) and we inserted the link using the assist edit tool. We then remove the original marketing subscription link and when we error check, it says we don’t have a subscription centre in there which is a puzzle cause we do. How do we get the system to delete the original subscription link and not have any errors?

Hello,

Did you resolve this issue? We have a similar issue. We have also set up a subscription page on an external website and placed this link into the subscription centre content settings. Whenever we select the new subscription page in an email it always switches back to the default content setting

Hi Brent,

Unfortunately we have not as yet found a solution to this. However, we did have some training this week and the trainer has gone away to investigate further as a solution could not be found on the training session. I will post again on here once they have come back to us with a fix.

Thanks for your reply. I hope you get it resolved.

Our problem is different in that we have our website based subscription centre working now. However, Customer Journey's do not respect the Content Setting value saved in marketing emails.
