Hi, As a Microsoft partner (ActionPack) does anyone know how you can get access to partner source, or another way of getting the ability to have a running AX environment for X++ development? Everytime I ask Microsoft I keep getting pushed to an AX Partner who cannot help me as they cannot facilitate this type of request.

    Hi Wayne,

    Some years ago we became an AX consulting and ISV partner. Then the person who signed the contract got the invite for access on Partnersource. If you have signed contracts with Microsoft, they should be able to help you. You can contact your local Partner account manager for it. Another partner cannot create an organization on Partnersource for you.

    I don't know much about ActionPack, but I would expect - and Microsoft's reaction seems to confirm - that it doesn't include access to PartnerSource. What did Microsoft tell you regarding the request?

    Another question is whether ActionPack includes any license of Dynamics AX. If not, ActionPack won't help you in any way.

    I reread the question after Martins response. can you tell us if you are a Dynamics partner or a registered partner on MPN doing business with other Microsoft products?

    To become an Dynamics partner you can have a look on this site: mspartner.microsoft.com/.../microsoft-dynamics.aspx

    If you are a partner on MPN earned a Silver or Gold competence, you can also use a Dynamics ERP system. I'm not sure how you would get the license then.
