default print from NAV to networked printer

By default Nav sends print jobs to the LPT2 port. When we have a printer locally installed and given a share name, we can assign that printer to the lpt2 port and the default printing works fine. However, when we try to assign a networked printer to LPT2, it doesn't print. I am using the syntax: net use lpt2: \\servername\printersharename

Any suggestions? Is there a way to change the default printer port from LPT2 to something else?

You could define the network printer as the default printer for a specific report in the printer selection table. That might help you :)

Yes, Try with the setting up the default printer with report and user ID.

Thanks this worked. However i had to use GPO to add the printers to the remote WVD server for specific users, as redirected printers are not static in name (redirected #)
