In company worker mostly get promotion and from field worker they become technician who use field service mobile app, and only user can use field service mobile app. But Resource type filed is not editable, how do i make this change. has anyone got any idea
The resource type can only be set during creation, changing it afterwards is not possible. Is my understanding correct that prior to the promotion the resource is a contact and you want to change it to user? In that case you need to create a new resource.
There is no way to change 'resource type' once the resource is created. Assuming your resource was an account/contact before and now will be a D365 Field Service 'user', create a new resource of type 'user' and plan for in-flight bookings and work orders. In my experience, the best way to manage this is to plan for a certain logical endpoint (end of the week, change of shift etc.) for finishing all in-flight work orders, disable old bookable resource and then create a new one.
