GP 2013 Slow Payables Posting

Hi:

As of two months ago, a GP 2013 end user has experienced slow payables posting.  She is not aware of any changes, from two months ago.

She uses Citrix with local modified reports dictionaries located on the Citrix box.  The PJOURNAL job is running and is successfully removing these from the companies.  They reboot the SQL box, every night.  She is not the only user experiencing this issue and it is occurring in all companies.

Is there a "silver bullet" that will allow for speeding up the posting?

Thanks!

John

    Hi John,

I would recommend trying to try posting directly on the SQL server to rule out any network slowness or interference with Citrix during the process.   If it is still slow, then a SQL Trace may be a good place to start and look for longer durations to help point to what point in the process is the slowest.

The settings in the following KB would be what I would use when getting the trace file to get usable detail that would indicate where the slowness is coming from.

    support.microsoft.com/.../912281

We can take a look at the trace through a support case as well if needed to analyze.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Nattis:

No, I had already checked this.  Payment Document Management is not installed.

Thanks, for the quick response, though!  :)

    Dear John,

Did Payment Document Managment (2150) was installed in your gp environment?

in the UAT box, just disable the product by Tools >> Customize >> Customization status and perform the posting check the performance. if its better and if you are not using this, just un install the module.

kindly find the below link for reference
