UDE is not updated even after updating the Finance and Operations Provisioning App

Hi all,

I’m facing a confusion in a Unified Development environment for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

I updated the D365 Finance & Operations Provisioning App to version 10.0.47.4 successfully. However, when I open the Finance & Operations URL and check the application version it is still showing 10.0.44.

I’m trying to understand:

Does updating the Provisioning App not update the actual F&O application version?
Is there any additional step required after updating the provisioning app?
Has anyone else faced the same issue in Unified Development environments?

Any insights would be appreciated.

Hi,

can you share screeshot from Provisinig app > Manage screen. Do you see any update option there, something like this,

Hi @Deepak Agarwal,

As per Microsoft documentation if the manage button is not visible it is already running on the latest version, here in our case as it is already running on the latest version manage button is not visible.

Hello,

You're looking at two different things. The Provisioning app is a Power Apps solution, while D365FO is an ERP system. They are updated separately.
If you also want to update the F&O application, you can do it from LCS (https://lcs.dynamics.com):

Generally, once the Provisining app updated it must trigger FinOps App upgrade as well. Just wait for some time, if its still not showing up, may be raise with Microsoft.

Hi Ramkishor,

You can try to start in a different way. In PPAC, don't navigate to an environment, but open the Dynamics 365 apps directly. Then search for the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Provisioning App. Click on the three dots and then Configure. You can then select the environment and check if you can select a newer version.

In case it has the latest version, then you can contact Microsoft Support in case the version in F&O is not updated. Regardless the version number, do you see the features that are new in 10.0.47?

Hi Ramkishor,

Thanks for your reply with additional information. I have seen several cases where opening the provisioning app from the environment resources is not working correctly. I always take this route.

Your screenshot shows that the environment is still on 10.0.44 (or lower quality update of 10.0.45). You can select a version which you want to install, then agree with the terms and click on Install. It will then start the deployment.
