
Hi all,
I have just installed a new Point-of-sale machine using the AX Retail POS (AX2012 R3 CU 9) and I have successfully installed and configured it. The point-of-sale is connected to the Microsoft CONTOSO Demo environment.
However when I try to open the Retail Enterprise POS application I am encountering the following errors:
Error 1:
Error number: 1 The application could not be initialized.
Error 2:
Error number: 2 A system error has occurred. The application will close.
From the event viewer I've noticed that the following error was being shown:
LSRetailPosis.Settings.ApplicationSettings.System.Exception: Information about store: SEATTLE was not found.
Note that I have already checked the following:
1. Verified that all the connections are successfully (Retail Channel Configuration Utility)
2. Managed to make a Full data synch from AX (Retail Module > Channel Database)
3. Both the RetailSeattle_Message & RetailSeattleStoreOffline databases are populated with data.
Can you please shed some light on this?

I have the same question (0)Hi Kevin,
- Double Check in Offline DB. You also verify the channel DB?
- Review the Offline profile
- Check Tables: RetailstoreTable, RetailTerminalTable and RetailStoreAddressBook, in channel DB and Offline DB
- Check POS.exe.config [Tags > OfflineDatabaseConnectionString > StoreId /TerminalId / DATAAREAID]
- Check the Register. Create a new (or use another, already configured for this store), and try to sync again.
